Software Freedom Day in Surabaya is Finished

Yesterday, Saturday (12/09), the Software Freedom Day (SFD) in Surabaya has been completed. Activities conducted by the Surabaya's People Group of Linux or Kelompok Linux Arek Surabaya (KLAS) was held from 31 August to 12 September 2009. Activities that are part of this world SFD event will culminate on 19 September. Remembering that day in Indonesia near the Muslim holy days, Idulfitri 1430 H, the activities were held earlier.

On the last day yesterday I had visited the exhibition stands made by KLAS friends in Hi-Tech Mall, previously stopped at the office of KLAS. Lots of booth visitors, ranging from children to adults. Besides getting to know free software, Linux, some are just playing computer games provided by the committee, especially the children. Although the game installed on Linux, the children were playing good, too. If the race is held nge-game with their most likely I lose, I thought when I saw them play, because I seldom like to play games both on Linux and the software paid.

Not only that, the last three days before the event ended, organizers of SFD also distributing CDs and Magazines (what his name yesterday, do not forget to take home :-D ) for free. It contains a Linux CD dedicated to the maniacs of Windows but do not want a pirated, said a steering committee which is still sitting dibangku Junior Highs School (SMP) (Walah, did not ask where is from that junior high school child and what's his name:-p ) which surely by the committee chairman, Mr. Anton Masgandhul.
